    Right, I can’t say exactly what Vanion is up to, but no good. Me wants to think that he’s not outright going to harm or kill these lords, but perhaps something more sublte. Manipulation of some sort?

      Maaaaybe! After a couple of opening chapters where the bulk of Vanion’s action happened in the past, and his present revolved around coping with his actions and his daughter … we will definitely be looking at a more proactive present day Vanion moving forward.

    I suspect “funeral march” is a phrase selected rather purposefully, here. OMINOUS.
