For more on Vanion’s vicious plan and what’s in the urn … well, you can go read the first two chapters of the original webcomic in the Archives, or check out these three old pages that sum it up pretty nicely! [Chapter 1, Pages 24-26]

We are now starting to see Vanion bring all of the elements of his plan together here — but how will the elvish chiefs respond? And what other cards is Vanion holding up his sleeve?

Let me know your thoughts below! 🙂

I love the zoom in / zoom out effect we get in this page. I think that really adds to the tension.

Thanks! Considering perspective placement is always one of the most fun parts of writing the script. And I really like how Mharz drew the close up of Vanion’s eye here in panel four.

Vanion in panel 2 looks and sounds especially great! I considered that the weapon the humans are building might be a deterrence, or an attempt at one. The problem with that is escalation…

Thanks! I love that panel. And … I think you’re onto something there. From what we know about Vanion — escalation is something that he has definitely proven capable of, again and again.
